Nuclear Dreams

Exhibition Title: “Nuclear Dreams”
December 13, 2023, at 14:00, the exhibition “Nuclear Dreams” by the art group “AYVANDAR” opens at the “Dubovyi Park” gallery of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic. The participating artists, including Toychiev Kanybek, Beord Zlata, Zholchueva Kasiet, Naumenko Daria, and Temir Dastan, come from diverse backgrounds, some with academic art education and others without. Their collaboration defies traditional boundaries, showcasing a blend of experiences.

Exploring the impact of societal challenges, the exhibition delves into the unsettling nuclear dreams experienced by artists in the face of upheavals such as revolutions, the coronavirus pandemic, war, and totalitarianism. Rather than focusing on the triumph of evil over good, the artworks highlight the persistent struggle of goodness. The exhibition challenges the notion that positive art and mainstream cinema, with their predictable happy endings, truly reflect the complexities of life.

The artists aim to present a perspective that goes beyond merely depicting societal flaws. The exhibition is not a remedy for societal ills but a playful portrayal of the world as they perceive it. The artists acknowledge the existence of societal issues but leave the interpretation and solutions to the viewers.

The artworks serve as a commentary on the need for bitter remedies and sharp truths in a society accustomed to indulgence. The exhibition encourages viewers to accept these depictions, suggesting that they may become familiar aspects of daily life in the future.
Contrary to being an artificial intelligence product or mundane physiological details of contemporary art, the exhibition represents a distinct style, artistic expression, and even brilliance. The “AYVANDAR” group successfully captures the essence of decadence in our collective consciousness, providing a unique perspective.
